Anatomy
There is a lot of information to learn in anatomy in a 14-week semester. Students need to learn anatomy from day one and stay on top of it. Reading the textbook, diagrams and charts, for understanding, not just memorization, is essential. Although memorization plays a part in learning anatomy, the information still needs to be understood. Understanding the organization of the body and how it interrelates will make learning more efficient. A study by Pereria, J. et. al. concluded that blended learning was more effective than traditional teaching for human anatomy. Therefore, students should blend classroom learning with anatomy websites, online anatomy games and anatomy colouring books, just to name a few resources. Once the information is learned, students should join study groups to reinforce learning.
